DIY Dishwasher Detergent

Dishwasher detergent is one of those products most people don’t know you can make at home. It only takes a few simple ingredients and can save you money. Using our Lemon Essential Oil gives you a powerful cleansing property as well as a sweet refreshing aroma. For clean dishes that smell lovely, try this DIY recipe it is simple to make and only takes a few minutes.

Ingredients

1 cup baking soda

1 cup super washing soda

1 cup kosher salt

½ cup citric acid

1 glass mason jar (32 oz)

30 drops of Lemon Essential Oil 

Instructions

1. Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
2. Add Lemon Oil drops and mix well. Make sure there are no clumps.
3. Pour into a 32 oz glass jar for storage.
4. When you are ready to use, place 1 tablespoon of mixture in the soap dispenser on your dishwasher. 

Tip: You can use Orange Essential Oil or Peppermint Essential Oil mixed with the Lemon Essential Oil for a great smell and more cleaning power.
